Hat Yai, Thailand
I didn’t make it to the Cameron Highlands.. Instead, I am in Hat Yai, Thailand, visiting my friend Terje and family. We are going to go for a short tour in the Satun province and Terje has promised to show me some interesting sights. Everything from caves to indigenous people and an old prison island. This morning we got up at 4.30 to cycle (walk) up a local mountain and try to photograph a Buddhist temple during the sunrise and while it was still lit up with lights. We arrived at the perfect time. The sky was just starting to develops a blue tone and the sun was starting to broach the surrounding hills. Only problem was that we also arrived at the very exact moment that the caretaker turned off the lights! Oh well… 🙂 I’m looking forward to trying some touring on the updated Stan , the kickbike, and seeing if the changes I have made make any difference or if it was a waste of time and money. Stan certainly feels very competent now, ready to take on the world and the coming couple of weeks will be a nice test run.
