Keep it simple

I spent last friday at Fotografiska, attending a Nikon NPS event. Star speakers were Bill Frakes and Joe McNally, there to inspire and motivate. There was no shortage of inspiration, these two guys have so much experience and know how to tell a story. Incredible tales of far away places and the lengths necessary to get the shot. It was impossible not to think about the endless possibilities. But amongst the stories of 100 foot cranes, helicopters, scaling the Empire State Building and case loads of equipment there was a nagging thought at the back of my mind. One of the main attractions of photography for me has always been the simplicity. A camera, a lens, some nice light and something to photograph. In a way that is what the-walk is all about. Simplicity, minimalism and just being there. I made a note to myself:

“Keep it simple stupid!”
